COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Games Computing with Virtual and Augmented Reality program at Lincoln structures a three-year curriculum merging core computing with immersive XR technologies. Year 1 establishes foundations through algorithms and data structures, programming basics, game design and studies, software engineering introduction, and professional development. Year 2 progresses to artificial intelligence, concept development, full stack development, dedicated game development for virtual and augmented reality, game programming, and team-based software engineering. In Year 3, students focus on graphics, physics simulation, a capstone project, and XR game studio production, alongside optional advanced topics such as autonomous mobile robotics, cyber security, image processing, machine learning, mobile application development, or parallel programming. This specialised pathway equips learners with versatile skills for creating interactive, engaging experiences in the evolving games and digital sectors, from entertainment to simulation and beyond.
