COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Economics and Finance at Lincoln delivers a focused three-year curriculum merging economic theory with advanced financial practice. Year 1 builds core foundations through principles of economics, dual mathematics modules, statistics, introductory accountancy, and an optional student-managed investment fund. Year 2 progresses to intermediate microeconomics and macroeconomics, financial management, applied innovations, econometrics fundamentals, and economic thought history, with options for professional practice or study abroad. In Year 3, students master advanced microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial management, cross-sectional and time-series econometrics, and policy analysis, complemented by choices in behavioural finance, banking, European integration, game theory, or a short dissertation. The program cultivates analytical rigour, market insight, and portfolio skills, preparing graduates for strategic roles in banking, investment, corporate finance, and economic policy.
