The BA (Hons) Sports Business Management degree at Lincoln provides a comprehensive understanding of the business, management, and operational aspects of the sports industry. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in core business principles, including finance, marketing, organisational behaviour, and managing large-scale events, alongside exploring the fundamentals of sports business and its global context. Optional modules allow students to enhance communication skills and gain exposure to international case studies. The second year develops practical and strategic capabilities through modules focused on commercial sports club management, ethics, sustainability, and responsibility, as well as managing events, tourism, and sports projects. Students can also engage in client-based projects, digitalisation in sports management, sponsorship, and study abroad opportunities, allowing them to experience the global sports industry first-hand. In the final year, the program emphasises critical analysis, governance, and strategic decision-making in sports management, preparing students to tackle complex issues within the sector. Optional modules support independent research, entrepreneurship, innovation, and live event management, enabling students to apply knowledge in practical and industry-relevant contexts. Across all three years, the course combines theoretical understanding with applied learning, ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills, insight, and adaptability needed for careers in sports management, governance, marketing, and related fields within a dynamic and global industry.
