COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) International Relations program at Lincoln provides a rigorous three-year pathway to understanding global dynamics. Year 1 establishes foundations through comparative politics, power structures, and British governance, with optional social science skills. Year 2 advances to Model United Nations, research methods, theoretical frameworks, and professional practice, complemented by choices in European politics, foreign policy, transnational security, or placement year. In Year 3, students master global governance, colonial legacies, and an independent study, selecting from specialised modules on terrorism, human rights, Middle East relations, migration, or multiculturalism. The interdisciplinary curriculum draws on politics, economics, law, and sociology to foster analytical and diplomatic skills. Research-active staff address contemporary issues including security, inequality, and health governance. Graduates emerge equipped for roles in diplomacy, NGOs, policy analysis, and international organisations.
