COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Education program at Lincoln offers a three-year exploration of learning and teaching across global and local contexts. Year 1 introduces foundational concepts in education, research, learning processes, and teaching practices. Year 2 advances to core studies in diversity, inclusion, alternative education, and research methods, with options in curriculum design, digital society, psychology, childhood studies, or pathways to teaching. In Year 3, students engage contemporary issues and complete a dissertation, choosing from advanced modules in digital education, educational history, philosophy, sociology, special educational needs, reflective practice, or professional work in children's services. The curriculum integrates philosophy, sociology, history, and psychology to critically analyse policies, systems, and alternative learning environments. Students develop research skills through progressive projects, preparing them to question and improve educational practice. Graduates are equipped for roles in schools, policy, community education, or further study, with a deep understanding of how education shapes individuals and society.
