COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business Economics degree at Lincoln provides a comprehensive understanding of economic principles applied to business contexts, preparing students to tackle complex challenges in both national and international markets. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge in business law, governance, finance, organisational behaviour, economics, marketing, and statistics, with optional opportunities to participate in the Lincoln Student Managed Investment Fund. The second year develops advanced skills through core modules such as competition and regulation, fundamentals of econometrics, history of economic thought, international economics, macroeconomic environment, and managerial economics, alongside optional modules covering financial management, contemporary banking, money and financial markets, and opportunities for international study or professional practice. In the final year, students focus on specialised topics including decision-making and game theory, economic policy analysis, multinational enterprises, and personnel economics, while also having options in behavioural finance, econometrics, banking, European economies, independent research, and wealth management. Across all three years, the program emphasizes the integration of economic theory with business practice, providing students with analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills that are highly valued by employers. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in business, finance, banking, consultancy, and further study in economics or related disciplines.
