COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business and Management course is structured over three years to provide a comprehensive understanding of business theory, practice, and professional skills. In the first year, students build a foundation in core areas such as the business environment, management concepts, finance, marketing, organisational behaviour, and data analytics, alongside options in professional development and business English to support communication and cultural awareness. The second year deepens this knowledge with core modules in budgeting, ethics, sustainability, human resource management, innovation, leadership, operations, and the international business environment. Students can also choose from a variety of options including consumer behaviour, cross-cultural management, strategic marketing planning, professional practice, or an international study year, allowing them to tailor their learning to career aspirations. The final year focuses on advanced management and leadership topics such as digital business, e-commerce, strategy, and philosophy of management, with opportunities to explore specialised areas through optional modules like crisis and disaster management, global marketing strategy, financial management, global entrepreneurship, and strategic human resource development. Students also undertake independent projects in research, responsible enterprise, or client-based work, enabling practical application of knowledge. Overall, the course combines academic study with experiential learning to prepare graduates for diverse managerial and leadership roles in a global business context.
