COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Aerospace Engineering offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills across key areas of aerospace technology. Core modules focus on essential engineering principles, including an Engineering Design Case Study, Fluid Instability, Transition and Turbulence, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Advanced Composite Materials, Advanced Gas Turbines, and Attitude and Orbit Control Systems. These modules equip students with a deep understanding of the mechanics, materials, and fluid dynamics critical to modern aerospace systems, while developing practical and analytical skills applicable to real-world engineering challenges. Students also complete an Individual Project, allowing them to apply their learning to a substantial research or design-based problem, fostering independence, problem-solving abilities, and technical expertise. The program offers flexibility through optional modules, such as Rotorcraft Mechanics and Control, Advanced Solid Mechanics, and Spacecraft Systems Engineering, enabling students to tailor their studies to their specific interests and career goals. For students on the 'with Industry' program and January starters, the Individual Project and module order may vary, providing adaptability to different learning schedules.
