COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Accounting, Finance and Management begins with a two-week non-credit bearing module, Academic Practice and Professional Skills, designed to introduce students to the academic expectations, professional standards, and practical skills required for successful study and future careers. Following this foundation, students progress to four core modules, which may be studied in varying order depending on the intake. Strategic Financial Management focuses on the principles and practices necessary for effective financial decision-making within organisations, including investment appraisal, risk management, and corporate financing strategies. Business Analytics develops students’ ability to apply quantitative and data-driven techniques to analyse business problems, interpret results, and support evidence-based decision-making. Global Strategy, Innovation and Operations examines the challenges and opportunities faced by organisations operating in dynamic, international environments, emphasising strategic planning, innovation management, and operational efficiency. Accounting for Accountability and Decision Making explores the role of accounting information in organisational performance, ethical considerations, and governance, equipping students with tools to make informed managerial decisions. Together, these modules provide a balanced combination of technical knowledge, analytical skills, and strategic insight, ensuring graduates are prepared to meet the complex financial and managerial challenges of modern organisations and make impactful contributions in global business contexts.
