COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM in International Business and Corporate Law is structured to provide students with a combination of core, optional, and dissertation modules that develop expertise in corporate governance, company law, and specialised areas of international business law. Core modules include Corporate Governance, Company Law, and a Dissertation, which allow students to build a solid foundation in the legal principles governing corporate structures, financial transactions, and organisational accountability while undertaking an extended piece of independent research. Students also select six option modules, with at least four drawn from the International Business and Corporate option modules, covering topics such as Civil Dispute Resolution Methods, Intellectual Property Law for International Business, International Competition Law, International Sales Law, International Commercial Arbitration, The Law of International Protection: Asylum Seekers and Refugees, Contemporary Challenges in Intellectual Property Law, Commercialising Space, International Banking Law, International Investment Law, and The Practice of International Commercial Arbitration. Up to two optional modules may be chosen from other areas of law, including International Space Law, General Principles of International Law, Human Rights, Health Law, and Environmental Law, allowing students to tailor their studies according to their interests and career goals. This combination of modules ensures graduates gain analytical, research, and practical skills essential for careers in international law firms, corporate organisations, business regulatory agencies, and related professional environments.
