COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA in Journalism and Marketing provides students with a comprehensive foundation in both fields, combining the practical skills of journalism with the strategic insight of marketing. In the first year, students develop core journalistic skills through modules in news basics, features journalism, and radio journalism, alongside a grounding in journalism ethics and regulation. Complementing this, they gain essential knowledge of marketing, management, and consumer behavior, supported by modules on principles of marketing, digital marketing, and data insights for business decisions. The second year builds on this foundation, focusing on applied skills and advanced theory. Students engage with digital and social media journalism, strategic brand management, and marketing communications, while developing a deeper understanding of consumer behavior and marketing intelligence. Media research and practical projects allow them to integrate knowledge across both disciplines and explore their interests in more depth. In the final year, students consolidate their skills through publishing projects, demonstrating their ability to produce professional media content, while also studying business in the digital economy, entrepreneurship, and crisis management. Throughout the degree, students are encouraged to think critically, creatively, and strategically, combining journalistic expertise with marketing acumen to prepare for a wide range of careers in media, communications, marketing, and the digital business landscape.
