COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA in Business and Law is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of both business management and legal principles, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate complex professional environments. In the first year, students study foundational modules including principles of marketing, introduction to management, data insights for business decisions, consumers, brands and digital marketing, alongside core legal modules such as foundations of law, business law, and law of obligations. This broad introduction allows students to develop a strong grounding in both disciplines and understand their interconnections. In the second year, students build on this foundation with modules in strategic management, entrepreneurship, environment, society and governance, consultancy challenge, and specialized legal subjects such as property rights, law of personal property, commercial law, and company law, enabling students to apply theory to practical business and legal contexts. The final year focuses on advanced topics, including crisis management, strategic marketing management, employment law, intellectual property, competition law, and managing knowledge in organisations, alongside a dissertation in business and law that develops independent research and analytical skills. Overall, the course integrates business and legal education, combining academic knowledge with practical application, preparing graduates for careers in consultancy, corporate management, compliance, entrepreneurship, or further study in law or business-related disciplines.
