COURSE CURRICULUM

The Statistics MSc provides a comprehensive foundation in both theoretical and applied statistics, preparing students for advanced data analysis in a wide range of industries. Core modules cover essential areas such as Statistical Computing, where students learn stochastic simulation, Monte Carlo methods, and the implementation of statistical algorithms using advanced software tools. Advanced Statistical Modelling develops techniques for estimating probability density functions and selecting variables for linear models, while Statistical Theory offers a unified approach to estimation, hypothesis testing, and Bayesian inference. The Analysis of Complex Data module addresses practical challenges in real-world datasets, including missing data, bias, and causal inference.
