COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Organizational Psychology and Business includes a comprehensive set of compulsory modules designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to modern organisations. Core modules cover essential areas such as selection and training for human performance, exploring how to assess, develop, and optimise employee abilities to meet organisational goals. The psychology of effective organisations examines factors that contribute to workplace efficiency, employee engagement, and organisational culture, while systems thinking and consulting practice introduce students to holistic approaches for analysing and improving complex organisational systems. Organisational development and change focuses on strategies to implement effective transformation, managing resistance, and sustaining improvements. Research skills are emphasised through modules in research design and analysis, as well as advanced behavioural research design, enabling students to critically evaluate evidence, design robust studies, and interpret data to inform decision-making. Managing performance and developing careers develops insights into employee development, appraisal, and career progression. Commercial and professional skills provide practical knowledge for applying psychological principles in real-world business contexts. The dissertation module allows students to undertake an independent research project, synthesising learning from across the program to address a significant organisational psychology question.
