COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Law and Finance program provides a thorough grounding in the legal and financial frameworks essential for navigating complex global markets. The compulsory modules cover corporate finance and securities law, principles of international financial law, quantitative methods, corporate finance, and financial reporting and analysis, giving students a solid foundation in both law and finance. Students further develop their expertise through a choice of dissertation options, including postgraduate legal research skills, a law and finance dissertation, or an accounting and finance dissertation, allowing them to pursue in-depth, independent research in their chosen area. Optional modules offer the flexibility to tailor the program to specific interests, covering topics such as international banking law, corporate law, corporate governance, international tax law and policy, financial crime, conflict of laws, arbitration, forensic accounting, behavioural finance, and applied finance. This combination of core knowledge, research training, and specialised electives equips students with analytical, critical, and practical skills, enabling them to apply legal and financial principles to real-world scenarios.
