The compulsory modules build a strong foundation, beginning with the Independent Research Project, a substantial 60-credit opportunity to investigate a topic of personal interest in depth. Culture and Creativity: Contexts and Debates introduces key theoretical perspectives and contemporary issues shaping cultural practice and policy. The Business of Culture and Creativity examines how cultural and creative organisations operate, focusing on financial models, organisational structures and the wider economic environment. Entrepreneurship in the Cultural and Creative Industries develops your understanding of innovation, project design and entrepreneurial thinking within cultural contexts, preparing you to work creatively and strategically in diverse professional settings. In addition, a range of optional modules allows you to tailor your studies. Arts Management and Cultural Leadership offers insight into organisational strategy and leadership roles; Sustainable Development in Arts and Culture explores how cultural organisations can respond to environmental and social challenges; and Digital and Intermedial Storytelling introduces creative digital practices across media forms. Together, these modules create a well-rounded curriculum that blends theoretical understanding with practical skills, enabling you to navigate and contribute meaningfully to the cultural and creative industries.
