COURSE CURRICULUM

The Law with Hispanic Law LLB provides a comprehensive understanding of how law is created, developed, and operates as a social institution while combining the study of Spanish language and culture. In the first year, students explore foundational legal principles through modules including Contract Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Foundations of Law, Legal Skills, and PRIME, alongside Spanish language development through Practical Language Skills in Spanish 1. The second year builds on these foundations, introducing Torts, Law and Society, Criminal Law, European Legal Systems, and Practical Language Skills in Spanish 2, while also allowing students to choose optional modules such as Company Law, Youth Crime and Justice, Competition Law, International Human Rights Law, Family Law, and Employment Law, enabling deeper exploration of specific legal areas. The third year is dedicated to studying law abroad in Spain or a Spanish-speaking Latin American country, providing practical insight into a civil law system different from England and Wales. The final year consolidates knowledge and skills with core modules including Law of Trusts, EU Law, Land Law, and the Final Year Project, alongside optional modules such as Privacy and Media Law, Gender and the Law, Cyberlaw, Disability Law, and Evidence. Across all years, the program develops critical legal analysis, problem-solving, research, and language skills, preparing students for global citizenship and diverse legal or professional careers.
