COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Finance at The University of Huddersfield offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students for careers in corporate finance, investment banking, and the wider financial sector. Core modules include Principles of Finance, Investment and Portfolio Management, Financial Reporting and Company Performance, Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, International Finance, and The Global Professional, providing a strong foundation in financial theory, analysis, and professional practice. These modules enable students to develop a critical understanding of how financial decisions are made within organisations and across global markets, while addressing key issues facing financial and economic systems. Students also have the opportunity to tailor their studies by selecting one option module from a diverse range, which may include Managing Employee Relations, Emotional Intelligence for the Effective Leader, Global Business and Human Rights, Managing Sustainable Challenges, Ageing Societies, Humanitarian Challenges, Reward Management, and The Circular Economy and Responsible Resource Management. The program culminates in a Final Project, allowing students to explore an area of personal or professional interest through one of three routes: Research, Consultancy, or Entrepreneurship, with May starters limited to the Research Route. By combining core financial knowledge, elective study, and an applied project, the course equips graduates with analytical, strategic, and professional skills to succeed in competitive finance careers.
