COURSE CURRICULUM

The Chemical Process Engineering and Safety MSc program includes a range of specialised modules designed to develop advanced technical knowledge and practical skills in chemical engineering and industrial safety. Students study Process Operations, which provides an understanding of how industrial processes are managed and controlled efficiently. Process Automation and Safety Systems focuses on modern technologies used to monitor, control, and ensure safety in complex engineering environments. Process Integration explores methods to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption across systems, while Computer-Aided Process Engineering introduces digital tools used for modelling, simulation, and optimisation of processes. The Process Design Project allows students to apply their knowledge to design and evaluate a complete chemical process, combining technical, economic, and safety considerations. In addition, the Research Project gives students the opportunity to investigate a specific topic in depth, developing their analytical, problem-solving, and independent research skills. Overall, the program provides a strong balance of theoretical knowledge, practical application, and research experience, preparing graduates for roles in chemical engineering, process design, safety management, and related industries, where they can contribute to efficient, safe, and sustainable industrial operations.
