COURSE CURRICULUM

The Accounting and Finance MSc program is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of finance, accounting, and corporate governance, combining core modules, optional modules, and a final project to develop both technical expertise and practical skills. Core modules include principles of finance, management accounting, financial reporting and company performance, corporate finance, corporate governance, contemporary issues in accounting and corporate social responsibility, and The Global Professional. These modules build a strong foundation in financial principles, analytical techniques, ethical considerations, and the evaluation of organisational performance. Optional modules allow students to tailor their learning to their interests and career goals, with choices including strategic management, international finance, new venture creation, productivity improvement, global business and human rights, digital marketing strategy, and others. This flexibility enables students to explore specialised areas, develop interdisciplinary skills, and enhance employability. The program culminates in a final project, offering three routes: research, consultancy, or entrepreneurship, depending on the student’s preferences and tutor approval, providing an opportunity to apply knowledge to a practical or investigative scenario. Through this combination of core and optional modules, students gain critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with professional insight into financial decision-making and corporate governance.
