COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Public Health provides a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to address public health challenges at local, national, and global levels. Core modules such as Principles of Public Health, Global Public Health, and Health Promotion and Health Improvement introduce students to key concepts, policies, and strategies that influence population health. Epidemiology and Communicable Disease modules develop analytical skills for understanding disease patterns, prevention, and control, while Humanitarian Disasters and Emergencies: Response and Recovery focuses on managing public health crises in complex and emergency settings. The course also integrates social innovation through Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in Global Public Health, preparing students to implement creative solutions to health challenges. Research skills are developed through Introduction to Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods, enabling students to collect, analyse, and interpret health data effectively. The Public Health Project allows students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical, real-world problems, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Across the program, students are encouraged to combine evidence-based practice with strategic leadership, preparing them to influence public health policy, lead initiatives, and contribute meaningfully to improving health outcomes in diverse socio-economic, cultural, and international contexts.
