COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Public Health (Global) provides a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to address public health challenges at both local and global levels. Core modules such as Principles of Public Health, Health Promotion and Health Improvement, and Global Public Health provide a strong foundation in the key concepts, strategies, and policies that shape population health. Epidemiology and Communicable Disease modules develop analytical and practical skills to understand disease patterns, prevention, and control, while Humanitarian Disasters and Emergencies: Response and Recovery explores the management of public health crises in complex settings. Students also gain insights into Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in Global Public Health, emphasising innovative approaches to health interventions and organisational solutions. Research skills are developed through Introduction to Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods, preparing students to collect, analyse, and interpret health data effectively. The Global Public Health Project allows students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical, real-world public health challenges, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Across the program, students are encouraged to integrate evidence-based practice with strategic leadership, preparing them to influence public health policy, lead initiatives, and contribute meaningfully to improving health outcomes in diverse socio-economic and cultural contexts worldwide.
