COURSE CURRICULUM

The program is designed to provide a structured progression from foundational knowledge to more advanced concepts in computer science. The foundation year develops essential academic and technical skills, including communication and research, basic mathematics, fundamental computer science principles, and computational thinking, preparing students for degree-level study. In the first year, students build a strong grounding in core computing areas such as procedural and object-oriented programming, computer organisation and architecture, computer network fundamentals, and mathematics, alongside completing a project to apply their learning in practice. The second year introduces more advanced topics, including relational databases and web integration, algorithms and data structures, operating systems, and an introduction to artificial intelligence. Students also take part in a team project, which enhances collaboration, problem-solving, and practical development skills. In the third year, students further develop their expertise through modules such as distributed and client-server systems, while completing an individual project that allows them to explore a chosen topic in depth and demonstrate their technical and analytical abilities. Overall, the course combines theoretical understanding with practical experience, preparing students for a wide range of careers in computing and related technology fields.
