COURSE CURRICULUM

The program is structured to build students’ knowledge and skills progressively from foundational concepts to advanced topics in computer science and cyber security. The foundation year develops essential academic abilities, including communication and research skills, basic mathematics, fundamental computer science concepts, and computational thinking, preparing students for degree-level study. In the first year, students gain a strong grounding in core computing areas such as procedural and object-oriented programming, computer organisation, computer networks, and mathematics, while also completing a project to apply their learning practically. The second year introduces more specialised and advanced subjects, including cyber security, digital forensics, artificial intelligence, and algorithms and data structures. A team project further enhances collaboration, problem-solving, and practical experience. In the final year, students deepen their expertise through modules such as distributed and client-server systems, computational mathematics, and advanced cyber security, alongside studying data-driven artificial intelligence. They also complete an individual project, allowing them to explore a topic in depth and demonstrate their technical and analytical skills. Overall, the course provides a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing students for careers in cyber security, computing, and related technology fields.
