COURSE CURRICULUM

The Games Development (Production) BSc(Hons) program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the game development process, emphasizing both technical skills and creative collaboration. In the first year, students focus on foundational concepts, including concept development, 3D asset creation, character development, game prototyping, and team-based projects, which help them understand the workflow of a professional games studio. Year two builds on these skills with advanced design and development projects, fostering innovation, problem-solving, and teamwork through collaborative team projects and hands-on prototyping. Students explore complex aspects of games design, applying their knowledge to produce functional prototypes and creative solutions that integrate art, programming, and interactive systems. In the final year, students undertake individual and team projects that showcase their mastery of game production, including advanced computer games development and higher-level concept development. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to experiment creatively while developing professional-level technical skills, preparing them to contribute effectively in multidisciplinary teams. By the end of the program, graduates are equipped with the practical experience, technical expertise, and creative vision required to pursue careers in the gaming industry, including roles such as game designer, software engineer, lead game designer, environment artist, and technical artist, with strong portfolios demonstrating their ability to deliver complete, polished gaming experiences.
