COURSE CURRICULUM

The program is structured to develop a strong foundation in computing while progressively introducing more advanced and specialised topics. In the first year, students build essential knowledge in computing science and mathematics, computer organisation and architecture, and computer network fundamentals. They also learn key programming skills through procedural and object-oriented programming modules, supported by a project that allows them to apply their understanding in a practical setting. In the second year, the focus shifts to more advanced areas such as relational databases and web integration, algorithms and data structures, and cyber security. A team project is included to help students develop collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in a real-world context. In the final year, students study large-scale software engineering and distributed and client-server systems, gaining insight into how complex systems are designed and managed. They also explore information architecture, which focuses on organizing and structuring digital information effectively. An individual project forms a key part of the final year, giving students the opportunity to investigate a specific topic in depth and demonstrate their technical and analytical abilities. Overall, the course combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, preparing students for a wide range of careers in the computing industry.
