COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance program is structured over three years and provides a strong foundation in financial principles, accounting practices, and business knowledge. In Year 1, students are introduced to core subjects such as Economics of Business, Foundations of Financial and Management Accounting, Foundations of Finance, Quantitative Analysis, and Business Law, helping them understand the basics of financial systems and decision-making. Year 2 builds on this knowledge with more advanced modules including Financial Reporting, Applied Management Accounting, Financial Management, and Financial Technology and Control Environment, allowing students to develop practical skills in analysing financial data, managing resources, and understanding modern financial systems. In Year 3, the focus shifts to higher-level topics such as Corporate Finance, Performance Management, Advanced Corporate Reporting, and Issues in Accounting and Finance, where students explore complex financial strategies, reporting standards, and current challenges in the field. Throughout the course, students develop analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills that are essential for careers in accounting and finance.
