COURSE CURRICULUM

The program begins with a foundation year designed to build essential academic knowledge and study skills, preparing students for degree-level engineering. In the first year, students develop a strong grounding in core engineering principles, including engineering science, computational skills, and materials and mechanics. They also study electronic system fundamentals and gain practical experience in engineering design, manufacture, and testing, alongside developing professional and research awareness skills. In the second year, the course advances into more specialised topics such as embedded systems, signal analysis and control, and further studies in electronics and electrical principles. Students also explore electrical power and machines, while an enterprise-focused module in electronic product design and manufacture provides valuable hands-on experience in solving real-world engineering problems. In the final year, students focus on advanced areas including control systems, digital system integration, and electrical power and drive systems. A key component is the final year project, where students independently apply their knowledge to address a complex engineering challenge. Overall, the course combines theoretical understanding with practical application, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for successful careers in electronic and electrical engineering and related industries.
