COURSE CURRICULUM

The Multimedia Journalism BA(Hons) program is designed to provide students with a thorough grounding in modern journalism, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience across multiple media platforms. In the first year, students develop foundational skills in online content production, audio and video production, professional writing, and critical thinking, while exploring the roles, rights, and responsibilities of the media. This initial year builds essential technical and creative abilities required for effective storytelling and reporting. In the second year, students expand their practical expertise through modules in podcasting, magazine production, influencer culture, promotion and public relations, television news, radio production, reporting, and writing. These experiences allow students to engage with real-world media practices and develop professional competence. The third year focuses on advanced, project-based learning, including writing techniques across media, producing video shorts for music, advertising, and short films, investigative reporting, and multi-platform newsroom projects. Students also complete a media industry project, integrating skills across different formats and preparing for professional work. Throughout the program, students build a portfolio of work, gain insight into industry standards, and develop critical analytical, problem-solving, and creative skills. By graduation, students are prepared to pursue careers in journalism, broadcasting, digital media, or related fields, equipped with both practical experience and professional expertise.
