COURSE CURRICULUM

The Fashion Marketing BA(Hons) course at Huddersfield equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the fast-paced fashion industry, combining creativity, strategic thinking, and practical expertise. In the first year, students develop a foundation in materials, sustainable practices, content creation, fashion marketing practice, and marketing fundamentals, building essential technical and conceptual skills. In the second year, the focus shifts to applying these skills through modules such as Brand Me, Future Fashion, Fashion Marketing Application, Fashion Marketing Fundamentals 2, and Sustainable Practices, allowing students to explore branding, trend forecasting, digital communication, and the promotion of fashion products in a real-world context. The final year is centred on professional preparation, with projects including the Fashion Marketing Major Project, Fashion Marketing Case Study, Research and Development for Fashion Marketing, and the creation of a Professional Portfolio, enabling students to showcase their creativity, industry knowledge, and strategic thinking. Throughout the course, students engage with live briefs, collaborative projects, and opportunities to work with industry partners, gaining hands-on experience that mirrors the interdisciplinary and commercial demands of the fashion sector. By the end of the degree, graduates are well-prepared for careers in fashion marketing, brand management, creative direction, and digital communications, with a strong portfolio and professional understanding that supports future employment or further study in the field.
