COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management BA(Hons) degree at Huddersfield provides a structured three-year learning pathway designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed for leadership and management roles. In the first year, students develop foundational knowledge through modules such as global business management, principles of marketing, organisational behaviour, accounting for managers, and business analytics, while also engaging with ASPIRE 1 to build personal and professional skills. In the second year, the focus shifts to applied learning through ASPIRE 2, which involves live business projects, alongside modules in data analysis, business and societal impact, creating a new business, applied project management, and people management, helping students gain practical experience and develop problem-solving capabilities. In the final year, students consolidate their learning through ASPIRE 3, which involves creating a professional portfolio, and modules on responsible business and strategic management, encouraging reflection and application of skills in real-world contexts. Students can also choose two optional modules, covering areas such as human resource development, international marketing, ethical leadership, or creative consultancy, or alternatively complete an undergraduate dissertation, allowing them to explore a topic of personal interest in depth. Overall, the course combines academic knowledge, applied skills, and professional development to prepare graduates for careers in management, consultancy, or entrepreneurship.
