COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management International Year One program is designed to prepare international students for successful progression into undergraduate business studies by developing academic, professional, and English language skills. In the first year, students study modules across two semesters that build a strong foundation in business and management. Academic English Skills is studied throughout both semesters to improve reading, writing, listening, speaking, presentation, and academic communication abilities while ensuring students meet UK higher education and language requirements. Other modules include Accounting for Business Managers, which introduces financial and management accounting principles, and Markets and Marketing, which explores economics, marketing strategies, and business responses to market behaviour. Students also study Business and Global Dynamics, focusing on globalisation, sustainability, climate change, and digital transformation, as well as Introduction to Business Analytics and Organisational Behaviour, which develop skills in data analysis, decision-making, teamwork, and workplace management. In the second year, students gain practical and professional experience through modules such as Live Business Projects, Project Management, People Management, Data Analysis, and Creating a New Business. The final year focuses on strategic and responsible business practices through modules like Strategic Management, Responsible Business, and a Professional Portfolio. Students may also choose optional subjects including International Marketing, E-Commerce, Ethical Leadership, and Business Entrepreneurship or complete an undergraduate dissertation to support their career goals and academic interests.
