COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop advanced knowledge, practical skills, and professional expertise in performance enhancement and rehabilitation. Core modules in strength and conditioning science provide students with a solid understanding of the principles underpinning physical performance, while applied strength and conditioning modules focus on translating theory into practical coaching and training programs. Students learn to test and monitor performance through biomechanical and physiological assessments, developing the skills needed to design evidence-based training and rehabilitation plans. Rehabilitation is addressed through modules on functional principles and applied practice, enabling students to prevent injury, accelerate recovery, and optimize physical function across a range of populations. Research is integral to the program, with dedicated modules in research methods and a research project allowing students to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to contribute to evidence-based practice. A work placement module provides hands-on experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings, gain professional insight, and enhance employability.
