COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in molecular biology and its applications within biotechnology. The program begins with Genetics and Protein Biology, giving students a strong foundation in the molecular and genetic mechanisms that govern cellular function and protein activity. Applied Biotechnology focuses on the practical application of molecular techniques in industrial, healthcare, and research settings, allowing students to explore innovations such as recombinant DNA technology, protein engineering, and the development of biological products. Genome Science equips students with expertise in genomic technologies and their applications, including gene analysis, genome editing, and molecular diagnostics. Molecular Cell Biology and Immunology provides an understanding of cellular processes and immune system mechanisms, which are essential for research into therapeutic interventions and biotechnological applications. A central component of the program is the Research Project with Research Methods, which combines independent research with training in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication, enabling students to develop practical laboratory skills and critical analytical abilities. By integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience and research-led teaching, the course prepares graduates for careers in biotechnology, molecular research, and related industries, equipping them to contribute to advancements in healthcare, agriculture, and industrial biotechnology.
