COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Bioinformatics program offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates computer science, biology, and data analysis to prepare students for research and professional roles in biotechnology, medicine, and genomics. Core modules such as Databases and Tools, Machine Learning and Statistics, and Analysis and Generation of Genome Sequences equip students with essential computational and analytical skills for managing and interpreting biological data. Research Methods and the Research Project further develop scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world bioinformatics challenges. Optional modules, including Core Computer Science, Core Bioscience, Bioinformatics of Plant Disease, and Clinical Bioinformatics, enable students to tailor their learning according to their background and career interests—whether in computational modelling, molecular biology, or clinical research.
