COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Aerospace Engineering program provides a comprehensive and integrated approach to the study of aerospace principles, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application. Students will gain a deep understanding of fundamental topics such as aeroelasticity, aerospace aerodynamics, aerospace materials and manufacturing, propulsion technology, and flight mechanics, which are essential for designing and analysing modern aircraft and aerospace systems. The curriculum includes advanced computational tools and methodologies, with modules in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element methods (FEM) to equip students with the technical skills required to simulate, evaluate, and optimise complex aerospace systems. Flight simulation and practical project work allow students to apply their theoretical understanding in realistic scenarios, bridging the gap between analysis, design, and operational performance. The MSc Individual Project enables students to undertake an extended, research-focused study, developing problem-solving skills and technical expertise in a chosen area of aerospace engineering. By combining core engineering principles with applied analytical techniques and hands-on experience, this program prepares graduates for professional roles in aerospace design, research, and development, as well as careers in advanced manufacturing and related engineering sectors. It aims to develop highly skilled engineers capable of addressing complex technical challenges in the rapidly evolving aerospace industry.
