COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Journalism and Media Communications program provides a comprehensive understanding of modern journalism, media production, and public relations through a combination of theoretical and practical modules. Core areas of study include Corporate Communications and PR, Media Production, and Research Methods: Critical and Theoretical Debates, which develop students’ strategic communication, storytelling, and analytical skills. Optional modules such as Sports Journalism, Mobile Journalism, Journalism Skills and Reporting, and Data Analytics in Media allow students to tailor their learning according to their professional interests, whether in traditional journalism, digital media, or emerging communication technologies. The course also offers opportunities for hands-on experience through the Short Work Experience module, enabling students to apply their classroom learning in real-world professional environments. For those pursuing academic or research-oriented careers, the Media Dissertation provides a chance to conduct in-depth research into a specialist topic within journalism or communications.
