COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Interior Architecture and Design program offers a structured and practice-based curriculum that combines creativity, technical expertise, and research. It begins with Design Studio Practice 1, a 15-credit compulsory module that introduces students to advanced design principles, spatial exploration, and conceptual development. Alongside this, the Research Methods module helps students build analytical and critical thinking skills essential for academic and professional design work. The Advanced Design Skills Lab, worth 30 credits, allows students to experiment with innovative materials, digital tools, and construction techniques, enhancing their technical proficiency and creative confidence. In the second phase, Design Studio Practice 2 (45 credits) deepens design engagement through complex project briefs that integrate sustainability, functionality, and user experience. Professional Design Practice (15 credits) prepares students for the realities of the design industry, focusing on client interaction, project management, and business ethics. The course culminates in the Major Study: Interior Architecture and Design, a 60-credit final project where students apply their accumulated knowledge to develop a substantial, original design proposal that reflects their individual vision and professional ambitions. Together, these modules equip graduates with the skills, insight, and confidence to excel as innovative interior architects and designers in a global context.
