COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Concept Art program is structured to provide a comprehensive and immersive learning experience that equips students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in professional concept art practice. The course begins with Practice 1: Developing Skills, which allows students to build a solid technical foundation while exploring creative processes and developing their individual artistic style. Digital Media: Sources and Significance deepens theoretical understanding by examining the cultural, historical, and industry contexts of digital media and concept art, encouraging students to consider the significance of their work within contemporary media. Practice 2: Creative Project Development enables students to apply their technical abilities to more complex projects, fostering innovation, experimentation, and problem-solving in the creation of concept art. Exploring Professional Practice introduces essential professional skills, including project planning, research methods, and management techniques, preparing students for the demands of the creative industries. The Major Study: Concept Art module serves as the culmination of the program, allowing students to produce a substantial body of work that demonstrates both technical mastery and conceptual sophistication.
