COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM Solicitors’ Practice program provides a comprehensive and practice-focused route for aspiring solicitors preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE). The course includes a series of compulsory modules designed to develop both theoretical understanding and practical legal skills essential for professional practice. Core subjects such as Business Law and Practice, Property Practice, Criminal Law and Practice, Wills and Administration of Estates, and Dispute Resolution provide the foundational knowledge required for effective client representation and case management. Modules like Solicitors’ Accounts, Public Law, Legal Services and the Legal System, and Consolidation for SQE1 and SQE2 ensure students gain a strong grasp of the regulatory and procedural frameworks governing the legal profession. The Solicitors’ Practice Project allows students to apply their learning through practical, research-based tasks, while Qualifying Work Experience (SQE) and Reflection and the Law provide hands-on opportunities to engage in real legal work, helping students link theory to practice. The program begins with an Induction/Connections module to integrate students into the professional learning environment. Altogether, this LLM ensures a thorough preparation for the SQE assessments and equips graduates with the practical, ethical, and reflective skills needed for success as modern solicitors.
