COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM Business Law program provides a comprehensive and flexible curriculum, combining compulsory modules with a wide range of optional modules to allow students to tailor their studies according to their professional and academic interests. Core elements include the compulsory Corporate Governance module, which forms the pathway-specific foundation, alongside essential components such as Research Methods and Skills and the LLM Dissertation, enabling students to develop independent research capabilities, critical analysis, and advanced legal writing skills. Optional modules cover a broad spectrum of contemporary legal areas, including Banking Law, International Financial Law, Data Protection Law, Employment Law, Legal Risk and Compliance, Copyright and Artificial Intelligence Law, Public and Private International Law, International Human Rights Law, Intellectual Property Law, and International Commercial Law. Additional practical and applied learning opportunities are offered through Clinical Legal Education and Research, as well as modules exploring Company Law, Crimes of the Powerful, and Global Policing and Law Enforcement. This combination of theoretical knowledge, practical experience, and specialized legal study equips students with the skills required to navigate complex business and regulatory environments, think critically, and apply legal principles effectively.
