COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business and Finance degree is delivered across three years, providing students with a balance of core business knowledge and specialist finance expertise. In the first year, students focus on building foundational skills through modules such as Skills for Success in Finance, Developing Your Future Career in Finance, and Business Decisions in Practice, while also engaging in Entrepreneurial Leadership for Social Impact and professional development supported by the SPP module. The second year strengthens financial knowledge with Corporate Performance and Decisions and Principles of Finance, while also embedding sustainability through the Sustainability Impact Project. Students gain hands-on experience through the Live Business Challenge and continue their professional growth with the DPP module. In the final year, the course advances specialist expertise in financial management with modules such as Advanced Financial Strategies and Contemporary Issues in Finance, which address both technical and applied aspects of modern finance. A key element of the third year is the Strategic Business Solutions Applied Consultancy Project, giving students real-world consultancy experience. Alongside this, the Graduate Career Readiness and EPP modules ensure that students leave with the confidence, professional awareness, and employability skills required to succeed in finance-focused careers and beyond.
