COURSE CURRICULUM

The biochemistry degree offers a comprehensive study of the molecular and cellular foundations of life, combining theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory experience. In the first year, students build a strong grounding in molecular biology, genetics, core biochemistry, cell and microbiology, human physiology with pharmacology, molecular structure and reactivity, and practical and transferable skills, with an optional introduction to bioinformatics. Optional placements or a year abroad provide opportunities for professional experience and international exposure. Throughout the course, students gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and research methodologies, while developing critical skills in scientific communication, problem-solving, and project management.
