COURSE CURRICULUM

The Film and Television program offers a comprehensive pathway for students to develop both practical and theoretical expertise, preparing them for careers across the media industry. In the first year, students focus on building foundational skills in film and television production, including craft techniques, production workflows, and the study of media theory, combining hands-on experience with academic understanding. The second year allows for deeper exploration of specialist areas such as drama and documentary production, alongside connecting theory with practice and studying the historical, social, and cultural contexts that shape film and television today. Students also have the option to undertake a year abroad to gain international experience and broaden their professional and cultural perspectives. In the final year, the program emphasizes professional readiness, offering modules in integrated marketing and distribution, and culminating in a major production project where students apply their accumulated skills to a substantial practical assignment. A major screen study develops critical analysis and research skills, enabling students to engage with contemporary media debates and industry practices. Optional placements or employment experience further enhance career preparation.
