COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business and Management programme provides students with a comprehensive understanding of business operations, leadership, entrepreneurship, and strategic management while preparing them for careers across a wide range of industries and organisational settings. In the first stage of study, students complete core modules including The Global Business Environment, Academic, Personal and Professional Development, Enterprise and Innovation, Managing Finance, Leadership and Management in an Organisational Context, Live Management Enquiry Project, Business and the Legal System, and Marketing Principles. These modules introduce students to organisations as dynamic systems operating within complex stakeholder environments while developing knowledge of finance, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and legal frameworks that influence business decision making. Students also strengthen their communication, teamwork, and professional skills through presentations, projects, and practical assignments. In the second stage, students study modules including Managing International Business, Accounting for Finance and Decision Makers, Employability and Entrepreneurship, Creating and Delivering Operational Plans, Managing Projects to Achieve Results, Applied Management Skills, Live Project Management, and Digital Marketing Fundamentals. These modules develop students' understanding of international business environments, financial decision making, project management, and operational planning while exploring the opportunities and challenges faced by organisations operating in global markets. Students gain practical experience through applied projects and industry-focused activities that enhance employability and management capabilities. In the final stage of the programme, students undertake advanced modules including Management Consultancy, Sustainability and Globally Responsible Leadership, Strategic Business and Management, Strategic Management of People and Change, Leadership and Management in Global Contexts, Capstone Business Project, and Strategic Marketing. Students explore the consulting profession and participate in real or simulated consultancy projects supported by industry professionals and guest speakers while developing expertise in strategy, leadership, sustainability, organisational change, and global business practices. Overall, the programme prepares graduates for careers in management, consultancy, entrepreneurship, project management, international business, and leadership roles by combining academic knowledge, practical experience, and professional development.
