COURSE CURRICULUM

The Digital Business programme combines business management principles with digital technologies and innovation to prepare students for leadership roles within increasingly technology-driven organisations. In the first stage of study, students complete core modules including The Global Business Environment, Academic, Personal and Professional Development, Enterprise and Innovation, Managing Finance, Leadership and Management in an Organisational Context, Live Management Enquiry Project, Business and the Legal System, and Marketing Principles. These modules introduce students to the ways organisations operate within complex stakeholder environments while developing knowledge of finance, leadership, marketing, entrepreneurship, and legal frameworks that shape modern business activities. Students gain practical experience through projects, presentations, and investigations that strengthen communication, teamwork, and professional skills. As the programme progresses, students continue to build expertise in management and strategic decision making while exploring the growing influence of digital technologies on business operations and organisational performance. In the final stage of study, students undertake advanced modules including Sustainability and Globally Responsible Leadership, Strategic Business and Management, Strategic Management of People and Change, Leadership and Management in Global Contexts, Capstone Business Project, Digital Business and Cyber Security, and Strategic Marketing. These modules encourage students to examine the role of organisations within a global stakeholder society while considering ethical responsibilities, environmental sustainability, and the challenges associated with operating in international markets. Particular attention is given to digital transformation, cybersecurity risks, strategic leadership, and the implementation of technology-driven business solutions that support innovation and organisational competitiveness. Students also explore how business leaders can contribute to sustainable development and act responsibly in addressing social, environmental, and economic challenges. Through independent projects and applied learning activities, students develop analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities alongside digital and leadership competencies. Overall, the programme prepares graduates for careers in digital business management, technology strategy, cybersecurity management, digital marketing, consultancy, and leadership roles by combining business expertise with an understanding of emerging technologies and global business practices.
