COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Organisational Psychology is structured over three semesters, focusing on both theoretical understanding and practical application. In the first semester, students are introduced to the foundations of empirical organisational psychology, focusing on professional development, core psychological theories, and ethics. Modules like Managing Careers to Success and Developing Effective Organisations cover essential concepts such as job fit, leadership, change management, and employee engagement. Alongside these, Organisational Research Methods lays the groundwork for conducting high-quality, ethical research. In the second semester, the program dives deeper into topics of work design and well-being, and how high-performance practices influence employee outcomes. Modules like Work Design and Well-being explore job crafting and the impact of technology on work-life balance, while Driving High Performance and Well-being examines how strategic HRM can improve both productivity and staff morale. Statistical Skills is a key module that teaches students how to apply complex statistical analyses using tools like SPSS and Mplus, preparing them for their final research project. In the third and final semester, students complete a dissertation, where they conduct independent research on a topic of their choice. This dissertation integrates the knowledge gained throughout the course and helps students develop a deeper understanding of organisational issues while contributing original insights to the field. The course as a whole balances theoretical frameworks with real-world application, preparing graduates to apply organisational psychology in diverse professional settings or pursue further academic research.
