COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Finance and Corporate Governance is a comprehensive one-year program that provides students with a strong foundation in financial and corporate governance practices, investment, risk management, and empirical finance. In the first semester, students focus on core areas such as corporate finance, international accounting, and business regulation. These modules help students understand the principles behind financial reporting, global accounting practices, and the role of corporate governance. The second semester delves into specialized topics such as Investment and Risk Management, Banking and Financial Markets, and Empirical Finance. Investment and Risk Management teaches students advanced investment theories and techniques for managing financial risks, particularly post-financial crisis. Banking and Financial Markets offers insight into the structure and regulation of banking systems, the role of central banks, and the dynamics of financial markets. Empirical Finance equips students with the econometric tools necessary for conducting research in finance, using professional data analysis software. In the final semester, students focus on their dissertation, a significant research project that allows them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course. This independent research project offers students the opportunity to explore a topic of interest in-depth and develop original contributions to finance and corporate governance.
