In the first year of the BSc degree in Business at Norwich Business School, students are provided with a solid foundation in essential business concepts. The year begins with a common structure across all BSc degrees, ensuring a broad understanding of business principles, which helps students determine the right path for their career goals. Through six core modules, students explore key areas such as corporate finance, economics, management, digital business, and accounting, offering them a comprehensive understanding of how businesses operate.The Introduction to Quantitative Methods for Business module introduces important mathematical and statistical skills, emphasizing the use of digital tools like spreadsheets and specialized statistical software for business decision-making. In the The Economic and Business Environment module, students learn about the economic factors that affect firms and their operations, both domestically and globally. The Management and Organisations module delves into the principles of management and organizational behavior, examining the theoretical and practical aspects of leadership and teamwork in a business setting.In Introduction to Financial and Management Accounting, students gain foundational knowledge in accounting practices, while Introduction to Corporate Finance explores essential corporate finance principles, such as investment decisions and the structure of financial markets.
