COURSE CURRICULUM

Engineering Principles and Analysis dives deeper into core technical areas, preparing students to analyze and approach real-world engineering challenges.In Year Two, students expand their learning by tackling more complex design projects and exploring advanced topics, particularly in renewable energy. They learn how to assess and apply technologies like solar, wind, and hydro systems while continuing to develop their skills in electronics, structural analysis, and advanced mathematics, including Python programming. Practical work remains central to the learning experience, ensuring a strong connection between theory and real-world application.Year Three is spent on an industrial placement, allowing students to work within a professional engineering environment and apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. This experience not only builds technical expertise but also strengthens commercial awareness and industry insight.In the final year, students focus on energy systems such as nuclear, grid infrastructure, and storage technologies. The Engineering Major Project is the highlight, offering a chance to pursue a topic of personal or professional interest. Through independent work and possible collaboration with industry, students refine their technical, project management, and communication skills—preparing them for careers in the energy and engineering sectors.
